The Sioux City Public Library is launching a summer reading program

Six City (KTIV) – The summer reading program at Six City Public Library has begun, but there are some important changes.

The library will virtually host programs because of concerns about COVID-19.

There are a variety of ways to participate, including login while reading and the free Beinstack Tracker app for tickets and prizes.

You can call the library to schedule a pick-up of the Summer Quest Kit.
The kit is free and includes age-appropriate books and supplies to compete with weekly challenges.

Adrian Dunn, youth services manager, said this year’s setup allows more people to experience the program.

“What I like about our summer reading program this year is that people can afford it, but they can afford it. Call the library anyway with scheduled if you just want to do the online content, there are enough of them yourself, ”said Adrian Dunn, Youth Services Manager.

Now tomorrow registration kicks off for virtual events in the library, including Fantastic Builders, Innovation Studio and Summer Reading Spectacular Dance Party.

Registration for these events can be found on the library’s website.

To schedule a time to pick up the Quest Kit, you can call the library at 712-255-2933 extension 2231.
