Rowley, NC. (WNCN) – Buyers will soon have to wear face masks at many of their favorite stores.
One of the changes Walmart has made will be noticed by a shopper.
Employees will be at the store entrance from Monday to remind customers of the need for masks and to work with people who arrive without masks.
From Monday, big chains, including Walmart and CVS, will need face masks when shopping in their stores. Safety guideline signs help customers adjust quickly.
“I think that’s a good reason. I think everyone should have worn a mask and it should have been effective, but I mean at least we’re getting a handle on it and it’s happening, “said Rally resident Carl Vance.
The goal is not too far behind – their mandatory mask policy took effect on August 1st.
Places like Starbucks and Best Buy made their business necessities earlier this month.
Some say it’s weird to see new safety practices in stores, but they say it’s ultimately the best.
“We don’t just want to make our children and the elderly sick and vulnerable people with weakened immune systems and try to prevent its spread,” said Crystal Crisp, a resident of Butter.
Officials say they know that covering the face is not possible for everyone. Store officials said specially trained “health ambassadors” would help Walmart deal with these exceptions, store officials said.
