The Xiaomi MI TV stick has been leaking for weeks now, but the company has yet to make an official announcement. But it looks like it’s coming soon, as the retail list on Shaomi’s own website confirms the price of the MI TV stick.
Several retail lists have already hit the web about the MI TV stick, but only one of them has a price point that we can have any faith in.
Now, though, the MI TV stick has been leaked on one of Shaomi’s own websites and especially on the Portuguese company’s online store. There the company listed the product as “coming soon” and provided several images of the product and also confirmed some details. Android TV Pie, Netflix and Prime video support, and Dolby + DTS are also mentioned. Significantly, this is also the 1080p model that has been confirmed in this list to use 1GB RAM / 8GB storage, use micro USB for power and quad core CPU.
For the 1080p version of the MI TV stick, what did Xiaomi charge? 39.99.
Directly converted to US dollars, it will be around ড 45 but it is not so easy. A quick peek at the Google store in Portugal shows that the company’s latest generation of Chromecasts – also limited to 1080p – sells for 39. I bet Xiaomi is targeting the price point of Chromecast for the FHD model of the Mio TV stick, meaning it could come in at 35 in the US. Although at the moment it is just speculation.
