The latest Pixelmeter Pro update makes it easier to draw text around a path

The Pixelmeter team today launched its latest free update Pixelmeter Pro 1.7. The protagonist feature of this publication is the addition of curved text options. It is now very easy to draw text by turning or taking the path of a freeform.

There are now dropdowns for publishing alternative text formats as well as standard typing tools: Notifications, Paths and Freeform. This makes it really easy to add decorative text to your compositions to unlock much more creativity traced around the perimeter of your scene.

The new text tools support all standard typographic features, including spacing letters to clear text along the entire width of the path.

Version 1.7 features a new welcome screen for new app launches that adds simple shortcuts to recent documents and the ability to rotate the canvas to any angle. This rotation does not affect the exported image, but it can be effective in looking at the current composition differently when designing the final part.

Use only two fingers on a trackpad to rotate the canvas. The application satisfies the hepatic response when going to a regular 90 degree break.

You can get Pixelmeter Pro exclusively in the Mac App Store. Find out more on the developer’s website.
