The June 2020 security patch has been rolled out for the Galaxy S8 and S8 +

The security patch for June 2020 is now rolling out for the revolutionary Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + series.

With the duo expecting to lose appropriate regular support and updates in the coming months, the 2017 Flashships are still getting the latest month patches at a decent time. The update has already been rolled out in Germany for the Exynos variants of the Galaxy S8 and S8 + overs. Therefore, a wide rollout is coming but it is still unclear how long it will take (via Sammobile).

The June patch is about the height of the Galaxy S8 series additions, as revealed from here, it looks like quarterly patches and nothing else. Fans are hopeful that we’ll see Android 10 on a device almost four years old that will undoubtedly leave this stage. It’s still great to see the patches at a relatively good time.

Firmware version G950FXXU9DTF1 And G955FXXU9DTF1 In the coming days and weeks perhaps America should roll out across Europe now, including the rollout. Quarterly updates were confirmed earlier this spring, but some areas still received monthly patches until last month. This is probably the last “regular” monthly update that S8 owners will receive.

If you’re still holding the Galaxy S8 or S8 +, hopefully you’re looking at the 2020 patch now – or soon. That said, if you’ve received the OTA update, be sure to let us know where you are in the comments section below.
