The former Flint mayor weighed in on the allegations expected in the water crisis investigation

Flint, Mish – Former Governor of Michigan. Rick Snyder, his health director and other former officials have been told that charges are being brought against them following a new investigation into the Flint water crisis.

Former Flint Mayor Karen Weber said she’s looking forward to this day and it’s a big day for residents.

“That’s what we’re shouting and fighting for,” Weber said.

Weiner worked closely with Snyder during the crisis, but they were often overlooked.

“There were a lot of fights and clashes behind closed doors and a lot of times people didn’t see them but they certainly happened,” he said.

“It simply came to our notice then. He had the biggest role in it and you can’t say he doesn’t know what’s going on, “Weaver added.

It is not clear on Tuesday the nature of the expected charge.

Snyder’s lawyer, Brian Lennon, issued a statement Tuesday saying a criminal case would be “criminal.” He said state prosecutors “have refused to share information about these allegations with us.”

“Instead of pursuing evidence to find out the truth, the special counsel’s office appears to have targeted former Governor Snyder for political flight,” Lennon said.
