We already know a lot about Samsung’s next flagship smartphone sets, thanks to a plethora of leaks, but there are some more savings. Today, Samsung officially confirmed the digital “Unpacked” event on January 14 where the company will launch its Galaxy S21 lineup and more.
Samsung today announced an unpacked launch event for the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Buds Pro and possibly some other devices. The event is scheduled for January 14 at 10 a.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
Acknowledging the public appeal of the Galaxy S lineup, Samsung led the event, teasing “Epic of the Day”. Although the company does not touch on anything else about these new phones.
At the moment, we know that the next Samsung Unpacked event will see the debut of the Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra. These new devices are reported to have reduced the cost seen in last year’s Galaxy S20 series while taking advantage of the updated design, a flat display panel and still Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 processor. The S21 series will be the first collection of devices in North America to use that processor.
In addition, Samsung will apparently release a new set of truly wireless earbuds on the Galaxy Bud Pro. These earbuds are expected to be the most expensive in Samsung’s lineup, but do so while providing active noise cancellation, silicone tips and some other new features.
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic this year, Samsung will broadcast the unpacked event live for the Galaxy S21. Unlike last year there will be no private event. Just before the global Covid-19 outbreak, Sam France was able to host a launch event in San Francisco for the Galaxy S20 Series, Galaxy Buds + and Galaxy Z Flip debuts. At the moment, only the S21 series and Buds Pro announcements are expected on Unpacked.
