Amazon has announced that it will host four panels of Virtual San Diego Comic Bride, which will also stream on the newly launched Amazon Virtual-Con portal.
Amazon Original’s four panels include remakes of The Boys, Upload, Truth Sixer and Utopia, and will feature more than 30 series cast, creators and crew members.
Meanwhile, the brand-new Amazon Virtual-Con will “provide an exciting, new virtual convention content hub for fans to access and engage with the full range of comic-con activation”.
Perhaps more exciting, it will be available for free to all fans regardless of whether you are a subscriber to Amazon Prime Video or not. Thursday 23 July to Sunday 26 July.
The announcement coincides with the release of two teaser trailers for today’s Boy’s Season, in which Carl Urban is cast as Billy Bachar, Jack Cayed as Hugh Campbell, and Anthony Starr as the terrifying Homelander (Strange Superman metaphor).
In the trailer, Homelander tests his newly discovered son’s superhero skills and in a very cruel way – dropping a child from the top of a building.
Uploaded, which is already returning to the much-hyped Second Season, writes Emmy-winner Greg Daniels and is set in the future, when people can upload their consciousness and enjoy a luxurious afterlife.
The second season was confirmed in May, and the upcoming Virtual San Diego Comic Con panel sees fans skeptically speculating about their idea of a relationship between Nathan (Robbie Amel) and his later customer representative Nora. Andy Aloe) – Especially after a cliffhanger ends.
Daniels said of the revision, “I’m delighted to have a great relationship with Amazon Studios and these great actors and to know what happened after Nora and Nathan and Ingrid and their 2033 world.”
