Apple’s next Apple Watch Activity Challenge is officially here. Apple’s annual “New Year’s Ring” challenge will run until the end of the month, and it encourages Apple Watch users to keep three rings off for seven consecutive days.
The Apple Watch Activity Challenges include promoting the use of the watch for fitness and acting as a way for Apple to guide users to take advantage of the workout tracking features. This is the third year in a row that Apple has challenged the “ring in the New Year”.
While most Apple Watch activity challenges focus on a specific day, such as completing 5K, the “New Year’s Ring” challenge is a bit tougher: you need to remove your position, practice, and rings for seven consecutive days.
If you finish the challenge, Apple will reward you with an exclusive badge in the Activity app, as well as a sticker for using messages and FaceTime.
Start 2021 on the right. This January, earn this award by closing three rings for seven consecutive days.
Conveniently, Apple relaunches its new Fitness + Workout service in December, providing Apple Watch users with a new way to fill their activity in the rings every day. Learn more in our complete guide on how to get started with Fitness +.
Apple is also promoting the January Challenge via a video on the Fitness + tab of the fitness app on the iPhone:
Apple Watch users can learn more about the challenges in the fitness app on their iPhone. See the stickers you will be able to unlock below. Are you taking part in this “Ring New Year” challenge on your Apple Watch? Let us know in the comments!
