Star Wars: The Old Republic is now available via Steam

There is a lot of talk about Star Wars games. With the likes of Star Wars Battlefront, the recently released Star Wars JD: Fallen Order and the upcoming launch of Star Wars Squadrons, there is plenty of content for fans to enjoy. However, you may forget that another actively supported video game is still available to enjoy today and its Star Wars: Old Republic.

The video game MMORPG was released in 2011, developed by Bioware and published through Electronic Arts. The game has been available for free for several years and it has created a character that allows players to dive into the pre-Star Wars era that catches your interest. The game has been enjoyed by fans all over the world, now it is available for fans to download and enjoy through Valve Steam Digital Marketplace. EA has been adding more of its video game library to the digital marketplace and this is the latest to see a release on the platform.

As mentioned, this MMORPG has been around since 2011 and the result is a lot of content available to players. We probably say this because it is a free-to-play hybrid MMORPG. Overall, the original story is available for free but it comes with some limitations. You have a choice of level caps and barriers to expansion. If you want to pay a small fee, it may be deleted.

Unfortunately, this is not one of those games where you can pay a one time fee to enjoy the content. Instead, you’ll need to pay a 15 monthly subscription to remove the level cap and gain access to all available extensions. Still, you can at least look at the story of the game and see if it’s fair to pay a monthly fee, as players try to download it.
