Developer Mosmouth announced this morning on Twitter that the highly anticipated Metrodovnia rogue simulator title – Spelunky 2 has found its official PC release date.
After several delays, the game was finally locked for two platforms – PS4 and PC. The PC version of the game will be released on September 29th, just two weeks from the PS4 version. If you’re looking forward to the sequel, be sure to set up a wish list notification on Steam that you probably want to get there right at the start of the game!

Spelunki returns to this extensive sequel to the original Roguilic platform! Meet the next generation of explorers as they discover themselves on the moon, searching for treasures and missing families.
Spelunky 2 creates unique, random challenges that make the original a classic, a huge one-of-a-kind adventure designed to satisfy old and new players. Explore the game alone, play with up to four players locally, or join together to unravel its mysteries together with friends online for the first time (or fight it in competitive arena mode).
Spelunky 2 has been in development for quite some time, as we got the announcement of the first sequel back in 2018. However, with a ton of hard work, the developers have finally come up with the expected sequel to the fans. The game is set to arrive on PS4 on September 15th.
The PC version of Spelunky 2 has been confirmed for release on September 29th. Are you excited for the upcoming game? Let us know in the comments below!
