Countess Prince Edward Sophie’s wife in Wessex said she wanted Meghan Merkel and Prince Harry to be “happy” after the royal departure.
“I just hope they’ll be happy,” Sophie told the Sunday Times to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who moved to Los Angeles with their one-year-old son Archie earlier this year.
In January, Meghan, 36, and Harry, 35, announced plans to retire as senior members of the royal family. They ended the last phase of the royal engagement in March. A month later, Sassisi announced the name of their new foundation, Archewell.

Sophie, 55, also spoke about her experience of joining the royal family because of her middle-class upbringing.
“Remember, I had five years to adjust,” Sophie says, according to People. “And we’ve been at Buckingham Palace for six months now. It’s not that you necessarily know how it’s going to break down. “
Edward – the youngest Queen Elizabeth and four Prince Philip – and Sophie married in 1999. They have two children: a daughter, Louis, 16, and a son, James, 12.
As the love story of Meghan and Harry began in 2014, reports spread during the year-long clash between the former “suit” star and staff at the palace. Sophie said the royal states contribute to helping newcomers adjust.
“We all try to help every new member of the family,” he said.
Meghan and Harry are still getting used to their new lives in California, and they recently hired Tyler Perry’s security team to intimidate them with a drone. The couple is in the filmmaker’s castle for 18 million.
