The Resident Evil franchise is a long-running and favorite survival horror series. It was almost from the early years of the original PlayStation console. Since then we’ve been going through new main line installments with countless spin-off titles. In addition, Capcom has even decided to bring remakes of previous games such as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Now the focus is on the next main line installment, towards Resident Evil Village
We have been waiting for more information about Resident Evil Village to come out for a very short time. Capcom is developing this game where players are left behind Ethan, the hero of Resident Evil 7. Without further ado about the latest mainstream installment release, we know that Resident Evil Village took place a few years after the Resident il Will the incident and that Ethan’s world is shattered again and Chris Redfield is about to take him to a remote village in hopes of tracking him.
This is another first person perspective video game where the village is referred to as free-world. Players will be able to explore the territory, battling several new enemy types while solving numerous puzzles along the way. When we learned that the game was being released for PC, Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5 consoles, Capcom only mentioned the possibility of seeing the game in the last generation consoles. Thanks to the recent Stream event, we know that Resident Evil Village will also be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
There’s no telling what the difference might be between Resident Evil Village on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, but chances are we’ll see some downgrades in performance and visuals. Currently, Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7, 2021 for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 platforms.
