Covid-19 has become quite busy this year, not only has it caused most of the deaths, but it has become a global epidemic! Live events, concerts, conventions are all things that are pushed back and we seem to be getting better globally. It’s just not safe enough to reopen.
Today, Pax 2020 – Pax canceled another of its much-anticipated conferences for the West. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like Pax West aint for me either. Instead, the company has announced that it plans to replace the popular gaming convention with a nine-day livestream event. This allows any gamer to be present without the need for a badge!
The pack is asked to bring more content than that if the online show is decorated. There weren’t too many details about the show, but we do know that it will start on September 12th and run on the 20th.
See the official statement issued from the pack below:
In our previous post, we explained that we still hoped to bring you Pax West this year, protecting and protecting the health of our community is our highest priority. The more work we have done on a solution, the more it has become clear that if we really want to welcome everyone home, we need to completely remove our physical barriers and only take Pax online.
Going digital means a lot more than changing venues, and transcending nature has actually enabled us to pack more than ever before!
Pack Online is the result of a convention-hosting super group consisting of people responsible for creating our new pack online and providing an uninterrupted 24/7 stream of content, events, discussions and gameplay with our new friends at Pax West, Pack Australia, and EGX.
Oh, and we said 24/7? We actually meant 24/9, because we’re running this virtual shindig directly from September 12th to September 20th.
In related news, PACS has announced another delay for one of their conferences – PACK Australia.
There is a legal issue that can detain a certain number of people inside a building and Australia is now taking these security measures and has decided to cancel Pack Australia for PACS 2020. Instead, you can expect the event to return to full swing sometime in 2021. Ongoing. Learn more about cancellation here!
Covid-19 is canceling every spectacular event outright and of course it will arrive at the pack conferences soon!
