Work has begun on a new entry into the Latent Splinter Cell franchise, with the game set to launch in 2021.
Splinter Cell is one of Ubisoft’s most popular franchises, but the last game in the series was 2013’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Fans of Sam Fisher have been waiting for seven more years for another adventure with the Black-Ops agent, and according to a rumor, the wait will end soon.
Fischer’s voice actor for the Italian language, Luca Ward, said in an interview with Multiplayer.it that he believes the “final episode” of Splinter Cell is working on Ubisoft, but admits he was unsure how the game would fit. In the series’ storyline.
The new splinter cell game was planned for 2020, but according to Ward, it was delayed along with several Ubisoft projects, possibly due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Ward’s reliability is questionable, as he hinted at a new splinter cell game in 2018, Gamerant said. The voice actor, however, apologized for providing misleading information in the past in his interview with Multiplayer.it and explained that his previous statements were based on his evidence at the time.
Digital Trends has reached out to Ubisoft to comment on the rumors and we will update this article whenever we hear it.
