Security bill ‘could easily turn into millions’

Aaron Audrick, the CTF’s federal director, said the security bill “could easily turn into millions” and that the royalty would have been chosen to stay in Valcule.

“There’s nothing like sneezing over $ 1,000 (in Canadian dollars), especially when you consider that it’s a taxpayer ‘bill for one of the world’s richest and most famous couples.”

The team noted that the price tag for taxpayers was undoubtedly higher than that, as the documents did not include the salaries of the officers in charge of the couple. Instead, the “only” papers show costs related to “overtime, travel, meals, events and accommodation.”

Canadian taxpayers fight back

Expenditures to protect Meghan and Harry have been a hot topic in Canada throughout their tenure, as taxpayers have made it clear that they have no interest in raising bills for British monarchs.

In January, more than 60,000 Canadians signed a petition stating that Meghan and Harry funded their own security spending and did not take long to back their government.

Canadian officials will soon issue a statement saying taxpayers will consider paying for the couple’s protection after March, the time they would be officially out.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have chosen to relocate to Canada on a part-time basis, have presented our government with a unique and unprecedented situation,” said Public Security Minister Bill Blair. “The RCMP has been involved in security considerations with officials in the United States since the beginning.”

He added that since Harry and Meghan were still “internationally protected persons”, the government had no choice but to provide them with security on a “necessary basis”.

Prince Harry and Meghan Merkel will come empty after moving out of Canada

The drama escalated when Harry and Meghan moved to Los Angeles when President Donald Trump immediately said that American taxpayers would not pay a penny for their protection.

The couple retaliated by claiming that it was not their intention to get the bill for American taxpayers.

A Royal spokesman said: “The Duke of Sussex and the Duchess have no plans to ask the US government for protection.” “Privately funded security arrangements.”

All this should show Harry and Meghan that they made a lifelong agreement on the cost of their protection funded by British taxpayers to resign as princess and make a huge mistake in leaving the UK.

In other parts of the world, taxpayers have no reason to pay for their protection. And it was a slap in the face to Canadians that they were forced to do so in such a serious way.

We are simply grateful that Trump was active in ensuring that American taxpayers would never pay to protect this couple.

Meghan and Harry should have thought about how they could pay their bills before they could get the royal family and the British taxpayers to where they are today.
