The leaked renders of the upcoming Huawei Watch GT2 Pro are now leaked and give a glimpse into the upcoming smartwatch that has already corrected a successful formula.
WinFuture’s Roland Quantum shared some high-resolution images of last year’s Watch GT2 and the potential light-powered follow-up of the Watch GT2e in early 2020. The design seems to follow in the footsteps of previous generations.
According to Quantum, the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro Q is set to bring some significant improvements, including wireless charging. It will be a brand new addition to the Watch GT line, which previously used a magnetic charging dock to keep long-lasting batteries on top.
The leak further reveals that the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro will come in 454 x 454 resolution with the same 1.39-inch LED display, found in the GT2 it will also come with 4GB of internal storage, 455mAh battery, and dual crown buttons. So far, so similar to the previous generation.
You may see some very slight external hardware adjustments, but the software details were shared. We would expect the device to come with a version of LightOS, a super-lightweight software made for Huawei wearables. None of the renders give us an indication of whether Latos has been upgraded to the Watch GT2 Pro or whether any new features can be added.
Although U.S. trade sanctions have really begun to bite Huawei in recent months, wearable departments of Chinese companies have provided light at alarming times. They are hopeful that the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro can maintain an impressive growth in wearable spaces despite the prevailing restrictions.
The Huawei Watch GT2 Pro will launch at 0 280 (30 330) according to the leaked price and these renders show a silver or titanium finish with leather straps and silicone straps. Global pricing and availability are not yet known.
