Oprah Winfrey once tracked down Nobel laureate Tony Morrison by calling his local fire department, the filmmaker said behind a new documentary about the famous author.
“Oprah wanted to match a movie with her darling, but she didn’t have Tony’s phone number,” Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, the director of “American Masters,” Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, told Page Six. So the only way to follow him was to contact him [Morrison’s] Local fire department.
