Henry Cavill isn’t exactly ready to hang up his Superman cape yet – in reality, he plans to continue solving crimes as a legendary superhero in the future.
Speaking in an interview for a variety of actors in the actor series, Cavill told Patrick Stewart that he expects to continue playing Superman “in the years to come.”
“I’ve always been a fan of Superman,” said Cavill, 37. “With a character like this, you have the mantle ready with you. And it becomes part of your public representation. When you meet kids, kids don’t necessarily see me as Henry Cavill, but they can see Superman and with that comes a responsibility. “
“Because it’s such a great character, it’s actually a responsibility that I’m happy to get and I hope I can play more of Superman in the next few years.”
Comments were published last month that Henry Cavill Warner Bros. is going to re-discuss the role of Superman in a film in the DC Universe.
Superman’s solo film, 2013’s Man of Steel, was Cavill’s first journey as a superhero character, and could be his last Superman-centric film as Warner Bros. has no plans for a sequel.
