Australian golfer Great Norman has revealed that he has a coronavirus.
The 655-year-old posted a picture of himself recovering in a US hospital on Christmas Day.
Norman said he was told by his doctor to self-immolate after showing signs of COVD-19 on Thursday.
On the eve of Christmas, Norman posted a video on his social media saying that he had been tested for COVD and that the results were expected to be negative.
“I’m feeling very flu,” Norman said in a video on his Instagram account.
“I have a mild fever, I have a cough, I have aches and pains, I have a mild headache, so I am self-isolated.
“It has to be an ugly place, but I don’t just want to be threatened [anyone], Affects my family or friends and loved ones around me. “
A day later, the two-time main champion’s condition appeared to have deteriorated, with a post showing him in a hospital bed wearing a black mask.
Norman also shared photos of medical personnel around him wearing full personal protective equipment.
He wrote, “This is my Christmas day …”
“For millions of people, f *** CoVid,” he wrote.
“[Let’s] Get the S *** behind us without ever feeling it again.
His son Greg Norman Jr. also posted on social media that he and his wife Michelle tested positive for the coronavirus.
Norman has lived in the United States since the 1980s and lives in Hub Sound, Florida.
Florida is the fourth-most-affected state in the United States, with more than 20,000 coronavirus deaths and more than a million infections.
