GoPro’s Hero 9 Black to see big changes, report suggests

The leak in the apparent packaging of GoPro’s Hero 9 Black suggests that a number of exciting changes are coming in the next iteration of the popular action camera.

With DJI’s Osmo Action and Insta 360 recently released in the recently launched One R system, Gopro has some serious competitors whose heels have jumped, so it needs to be found right with the Hero 9 Black.

The German technology site WinFuture, which holds the packaging hand, believes this is the real deal. Labeling suggests that the Hero 9 Black will be the first GoPro in the series to display color on the front, keeping it side by side with Osmo Action and making it more of a friendly blogging camera.

The image sensor is said to get a conflict from 12 megapixels to 20 megapixels, rumors also suggest that the device may be able to capture current 4K to 5K video images. There’s no question that the GoPro sensor will increase the image quality by an inch if it matches any of the modes available with Insta 330 One’s.

Looking at a decent upgrade to the battery, it looks like it’s running, pushing the Hero 8 Black from 1,220mAh to 1,720mAh, giving users a bit of extra leeway before they start thinking about recharging or switching – not all the extra power gabbled to capture the new front-facing display. .

The GoPro Hero 9 Black is expected to bring improved Hypersmouth electronic stability, a popular feature that was introduced with the Hero 7 Black to provide “gimbal-like” footage.

There’s no word on when GoPro will announce Hero 9 Black, but the habit of releasing its updates every autumn indicates an upcoming unveiling.

Digital Trends has reached out to GoPro with the failed hope of getting a tidbit about the upcoming release and we’ll update this part if we hear it again.

If you’re in the market for an action camera, you’ll probably want to check out the Hero 9 Black offer. But if you can’t wait, check out the current set of digital trends with the best action cameras available right now.
