There is so much love and affection for God for war. The franchise was relaunched on PlayStation 2, and now, a few years later, we’re getting ready for the next installment, God of War: Ragnarok. Although the details with video game installments are largely non-existent, we know of another God-given means of hitting the market.
If you haven’t caught this announcement before, God of War: God of Defeat is a mini-series comic set after the events of God of War. There was a time when Kratos defeated Greek mythological gods where we don’t know exactly what happened. This gap is being straightened out with this comic book series from Dark Horse. Now basically, the limited comic book series was published this past year, but I’m sure you can guess what happened.
At least 2020 was not a good year and it forced so many projects to be postponed. Everything from video games, movies, novels, television series, comic books, lists under the sun seems to have been pushed back from the 2020 calendar year. It is all thanks to the nature of the coronavirus health epidemic that hit the whole world. We are still working on this messy virus and even after it becomes the mainstay of 2020, we are hopeful that 2021 will be the best overall year for all.
For fans of God of War that means not only the imminent introduction of the God of War: not Ragnarok, but also this upcoming limited comic book series. The Dark Horse notes the first issue is slated for its first debut on March 10, 2021, although we are unsure how much the series will cover. Fortunately, the story of Cretos leaving Greece and leaving Norse mythology will soon be told. The hope here is that we don’t have any big events that put this story further behind.
