General Hospital plans to resume production in July

As per the deadline, ABC General Hospital (GH) plans to resume production in new episodes in mid-July.

GH stopped filming at Prospect Park Studios in Los Angeles on March 16 and the producers expected to return to production by April 10. The main episode of Sudsar will air on May 22. Since then the soap theme has been running for weeks watching fans.

Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) was the first American scripted television show to begin re-production, starting June 17. There was a break of several days at one stage of filming, but then B&B resumed tapping on 24 June.

The Young and the Unstable (Y&R) is planning to return to production in July, there is no word yet on when the days of our lives (Doyle) will return to filming, but they have already had enough original episode films to read.

General Hospital is the longest running North American soap opera still in the air, and the longest running scripted drama currently in production. What will the residents of Port Charles do when the new episodes come back? Stay tuned for GH!
