Facebook creators’ pages, public figures, new experience rolls for subject matter experts

Facebook on Wednesday presented the experience of rebuilding for the pages of creators, public personalities and subject matter experts on its platform.

The social network said the changes were implemented to make it easier for these individuals or organizations to build their communities and achieve their business objectives, adding that it intends to gain new experiences for all pages in the coming months.

The new streaming layout for these pages will make it easier for people to view page biographies, posts, and other important information, as well as provide a clearer distinction between the personal profiles of page owners and administrators and the public page.

News feeds are coming to the pages for the first time, enabling admins and affected page owners to discover and join conversations, engage with fans, follow trends and interact with peers.

Newly dedicated news feeds for these pages will also suggest new links, including groups, pages, other public figures and trending content for pages, admins and owners.

Public personality comments on dedicated news feeds will go to the top of the top comments and people will be able to follow the pages directly through the comments and recommendation posts.

A new text-based question-and-answer format was introduced to support a richer and more interactive discourse.

Facebook says the likes are shifting in favor of followers, as subsequent employees represent people who receive updates from the pages, giving administrators and owners a better look based on their actual fan base.

New page management features were rolled out with the ability to more clearly define and manage admin access permissions based on specific tasks such as advertising, community activity / message, content and insights.

The social network said it has improved its ability to detect and filter hate speech comments; Incognito accounts; Phishing and sexual, spammy and violent content and it is developing additional additions.

To that end, Facebook has said that comments from verified pages in public posts on other pages will appear more in the section and will be visible in the news feed.
