It wasn’t too long after Disney acquired the rights to Lucasfilm Ltd. We got to talk about more Star Wars. There have been a number of hits and misses over the years, but with this new collection of Star Wars movies and television shows coming to market, it was only a matter of time before we would accept new Star Wars video games. Unfortunately some players announced at EA that Star Wars Games took control of production.
This exclusive deal, much like the cinematic universe, also saw some hits and misses. However, after the introduction of Fallen Order with Star Wars JD: Star Wars Squadron, we were waiting to see what the next Star Wars game would be. EA Motivation has confirmed that they are not working on a new Star Wars game that we finally heard about IP from EA.
Star We love Star Wars.
Luc We look forward to continuing our partnership with LucasFilm Games.
We are creating more Star Wars games.
DBD-1 is still the most beautiful.

Now move on quickly this week and we’ve been surprised to find Ubisoft managing a Star Wars title. It was revealed that the developers behind Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment, division franchise, are working on a new open-world Star Wars video game. Other than that, we don’t know anything about the game, so we were forced to wait for the official details to come out.
That being said, there has been a lot of confusion about what this means for EA. It was believed that EA had a ten-year exclusive contract for Star Wars video game projects. From the look of things, the deal has changed which persuaded Ubisoft to create their own video game project, but still EA does not count. Instead, it looks like EA will have a partnership with Lucasfilm Games with the Star Wars title and they will release the games to the market in the future. Don’t expect EA to be the only company to have IP access.
