Grammy-winning artist Brad Paisley has chosen to quietly help a fellow musician affected by last week’s tragic Christmas bombing in Nashville.
“This is going to be my first gig back play, and I’ll slow it down and make it easier,” said guitarist Buck McCoy, who lost his home in the bombing. After Starr reached out on social media, he had to thank Paisley for sending him a new guitar from McCoy.
“I went to my Instagram and there was a message and I was there too, it must be a kind of prank,” McCoy told WKRN. “You know, a funny friend of mine was saying let’s buck you up.” No, it was actually him, and he wanted to talk to me and say, ‘I want to wrap you up with a guitar so you can come back to work and make a living. “
The pair talked for 30 minutes about “guitar, music and family”, leaving McCoy with the impression that the superstar had come out of the mercy of his heart. The move also sparked some optimism about McCoy.
McCoy explained, “I just can’t sit still and think about it over and over and the memory comes back.” Mc “That’s right, I need to create new memories; I have to create fun experiences and then water those experiences and let that old weed die on the back.
