A day of change with more on the way

Detroit – Today’s maximum temperature of 44 degrees (.5.5 degrees Celsius) looked very good, didn’t it? What are you waiting for? Yes, we had a higher temperature of 44 degrees today.

However, the high has sped up at 3am, so, if you don’t feel the urge to take the dog for a rain walk at 3am, you won’t be able to enjoy it.

As you can see, a cold front crossed the area during that period and within two to three hours the temperature dropped to between 30s (1 to 2 degrees Celsius) and that was where we were all day. That wind factor and it felt even colder.

The sky will be clear this evening, but rapid low-pressure currents across the state will create light snow showers scattered somewhat. Once the hole is passed, we will clean again. Less than 20 ((-6 সেল C), with westerly winds at 10 to 15 mph.

Today’s sunset is at 5:45 p.m., and Tuesday’s sunrise is at 6:02 p.m.

We have a lot of sunshine to start on Tuesday, and boy do we need that sun … It’s been a while since we’ve had some time. The high clouds start moving at noon and by the end we will probably be mostly cloudy. So get out and enjoy the morning sun! Elevations should be kept away from 30 degrees (-1 degrees Celsius).

Snow develops overnight on Tuesday night… we can probably get an inch. Temperatures may initially drop to between mid-to-upper 20s (-3 to -2 degrees Celsius) but reach close to 30 degrees (-1 degrees Celsius) by Wednesday morning.

Light snow is likely to freeze for a few hours of rain on the first Wednesday morning, and then changes to regular rain as hot air builds up. The amount may be more than 1 to 2 inches. Regardless, we’ll probably start our opal from Wednesday. Height of lower 40s (5 সেল C).

On Wednesday night the rain ends, then most of the time only the rest of the night remains cloudy. Less than 30 degrees (-1 degrees Celsius).

Mostly cloudy on Thursday, the day before the New Year, with dry weather on Friday. Elevation in the mid-30s (1 to 2 degrees Celsius).

A wine mix may develop for a short time on Friday morning but it will change to rain and rain will be the type of rain for the rest of the day. Height of lower 40s (5 সেল C).

I see great agreement between the computer models that the two storms give us a total combined rainfall across one inch (more than the second storm than the first). Fortunately, since the soil is icy and cannot get wet with water, this rainfall will fall in two parts. Extreme levels of rainfall over a very short period of time in the icy lands are a sign of flooding, so I will continue to observe for the next few days.
